CONSIGNSPLIT / THE OWNER'S DESK

Show what changed before you pay a consignor.

Prepare an itemized draft from sales, linked refunds and payments you record. Keep an earlier payment visible when a later return changes the balance.

For one shop using USD and explicit fixed consignor shares. You enter the records or map them into our CSV template.

$19 USD once. Browser worksheet and offline copy. Full refund requested within 30 days.

A returned item can cross a payment period.

Deleting the old sale can hide the payment you already recorded. ConsignSplit keeps separate events so you can explain the remaining balance without rewriting that sale.

Match / Split / Carry is the worksheet's method: match each refund to its original sale, apply that sale's agreed share and fee treatment, then carry the balance after recorded payments.

You get guided event entry, duplicate-ID blocking, an exact CSV template, period statements for one consignor, JSON backup and restore, optional device saving and a downloadable offline app.

Check the example yourself

These are synthetic contract assumptions, not a universal consignment policy. Amounts exclude tax and shipping. Fees come after the split.

  1. January S1, A: $100 net at 50%, fee $0. Share $50. Record a separate $50 payment on January 31.
  2. January S2, B: $200 net after a $20 discount at 60%, fee $5. Share $115.
  3. January S3, A: $80 net at 50%, fee $0. Share $40 remains unpaid.
  4. February R1: return all $100 of S1, fee credit $0. Reverse $50 using S1's original share.
  5. February S4, A: $60 net at 50%, fee $0. Share $30.

A's closing computed balance is $20; B's is $115. Combined balance: $135 after the recorded $50 payment. A repeated S2 ID stops the import for review rather than counting it twice.

The buyer worksheet includes this example. It is a calculation demonstration, not a customer testimonial or proof of time saved.

Check the fit before buying.

A free spreadsheet can do this arithmetic.

Yes. An existing sheet with explicit formulas and careful return records may be enough. ConsignSplit adds required-field checks, original-sale refund links and a guided path to a filtered statement. Buy it for that workflow only if those checks are useful to you.

You still map your records manually.

This does not import raw Square or Shopify exports. Use manual entry or our exact normalized CSV. You resolve the consignor, net merchandise amount, discounts, refund allocation, share and fees first. It does not compare your data against a POS or bank.

It does not move money or decide agreement terms.

There are no transfers, tax calculations, legal determinations, tiered commissions, currency conversion or inventory sync. A negative balance means review, not permission to collect a debt. Payments are entries you supply, not confirmations from a bank.

Your records stay in the browser workflow.

The worksheet has no record uploads or analytics. Saving on this device is optional. Backups and offline files are unencrypted; protect them. Clear removes this app's saved copy and current tab data, not downloads or other tabs. A buyer link is not an authenticated vault. Use aliases and nonpersonal references only.
